when i wrote this, i was feeling myself as a composer. i was thinking, what's a good way to come out of the gate swinging on our live shows?
we need a song that sounds like we're kicking down doors, coming in with the slo-motion "The Right Stuff" walk. my favorite thing in the world!
there's so much syncopation in this song it ain't even funny.
the groove on the verse ain't messin around either.
when it hits the middle section, it opens up and calms down just a little, but then it comes back fierce for the coda. i know, i know...prog bands do that.
so do funk bands!
