that's only happened to me once...and U2 did a song exactly like it.

oh well, it happened again with this song, only i was wide awake when it happened.
some bands have songs that have almost identical beats. there's a certain beat that i find irresistible. it's a straight 4/4 beat with a heavy clap sound on the snare! Parliament-Funkadelic did that all the time. Prince did it, too.
a lot of the time, a simple beat can inspire a whole library of grooves and riffs. this song was written like that.
